Our Journey

Elite Training Solutions (ETS) was established in 2013 by former professional lifeguard Tom Bennett.

Tom worked as a lifeguard for over 15 years and, during this time, qualified as a Trainer, Assessor, and Mentor with the Royal Lifesaving Society. Between 2006 and 2022, he trained lifeguards, helping to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to perform their roles effectively and safely.

Alongside his lifeguarding career, Tom dedicated more than 18 years as an adult volunteer with the Army Cadet Force, where he put his first aid expertise to excellent use. During this time, he trained cadets aged 12–18 and successfully developed a County Champion team within the Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland Army Cadet Force.

In 2018, Tom was invited by England Rugby to become a First Aid Educator, delivering training to coaches and clubs across the East Midlands. His work has included supporting organisations such as Nottingham Trent University and, more recently, Leicester Tigers.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Elite Training Solutions was proud to support key workers by delivering essential first aid training. This included training refuse collection teams for North West Leicestershire District Council, enabling them to remain compliant and continue operating safely in their day-to-day roles during a challenging period.

In 2022, Tom completed his Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, a nationally recognised qualification that enables him to design, develop, and deliver high-quality training programmes. Since achieving this qualification, he has been commissioned to create a number of bespoke training courses for larger organisations, drawing upon his extensive practical experience, educational expertise, and industry knowledge to support these projects.

Elite Training Solutions was built on the core values of honesty, integrity, clarity, and communication. Over the years, we have developed strong and lasting relationships with local businesses, charities, and voluntary sector organisations. We are extremely proud of the journey we have taken and the resilience we demonstrated in overcoming the challenges presented by the pandemic.

It has been an incredible journey so far, and we look forward to continuing to support our clients, communities, and partners for many years to come.
